ATS check
Paste a resume. You get a score out of 100 that shows its working: the five checks it came from and the specific lines that cost you points.
This is guidance, not a verdict. It cannot tell you whether a company will call, and a high score is not an interview — it means the resume is unlikely to be dropped for the mechanical reasons this check knows about. The rubric is printed further down the page so you can disagree with it.
Check a resume
Chooses which words the check looks for. It changes nothing else about the score, and it never rewrites your text.
Paste the whole thing — plain text is fine. Formatting is stripped, because a parser strips it too. Forty words is the floor for a reading worth printing.
Paste one and the keyword check runs against its words instead of the generic list for the role above. Nothing is sent anywhere either way.
Checking runs on this page. Your resume is not uploaded, and closing the tab discards it.

Paste a resume on the left and press Check this resume. The score, the five checks behind it and every finding appear here.
Your saved readings
Removing a reading is undoable for a few seconds. Nothing here is shared with an employer.
How this is scored.
Five checks, one hundred points, one set of thresholds. Nothing is weighted secretly and no check runs that is not in this table.
| Check | Points | What it looks for |
|---|---|---|
| Length | 20 | 400 to 800 words. Under 400 usually means the experience is described but not evidenced; over 800 means a reader stops before the part you care about. |
| Role words | 25 | Terms the target role expects — or, when you paste an advert, the words that advert actually uses. Presence only. Repeating a word ten times scores the same as once. |
| Evidence | 20 | Numbers attached to outcomes. A percentage, a count, a duration, a currency figure. Three or more is full marks. |
| Strong openings | 20 | Lines that begin with something you did. Deducted for “responsible for”, “duties included”, “worked on” and “helped with”. |
| Structure | 15 | Section headings a parser recognises — experience, education, skills — and an absence of the layout tricks that break one. |
Strong. Nothing mechanical is standing in the way.
Nearly. One or two checks are carrying the loss.
Needs work. Usually length or evidence, and both are fixable in an evening.
What this check cannot see.
Whether any of it is true
The check reads words. It has no way to know whether you did the work. That is what verified employment is for — a named company confirming a role, in writing, on your record.
Which system the employer runs
There is no single ATS. Employers run different products configured differently, and some read resumes with a person. This rubric is a reasonable common denominator, not a simulation of any one of them.
Whether the role suits you
A resume can score 96 for a job you would hate. The career quiz is a different question, and it has a different answer.
How it reads to a human
Tone, judgement and whether a sentence lands are outside what any score can carry. Read it aloud once before you send it.
Once the score stops moving.
Cover letter generator
Four answers become a letter. It invents no company and no achievement.
Verify a role
Ask a named company to countersign a role you listed. Not a background check.
